Reusing and Recycling of Laser Sintered Nylon 12 Powders
Mar 2020 – May 2020
Project description
In this report, we come up with ways to measure and characterize reused Nylon 12 powders from additive manufacturing techniques like selected laser sintering (SLS). We design an experiment that will discover the refresh rate of the powders using Dynamic Image Analysis (DIA), Dynamic Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Melt Flow Rate (MFR) and Fractography. These characterization techniques would be used to learn about the properties of surface roughness, tensile testing, porosity, etc.
